Musical Theatre Performance opportunity for actors, dancers, and singers in grades 3-5. 

Read this information before registering your child!

Auditions: Auditions will take place on Tuesday, February 20th 4:30-6:30. Please prepare a 30 second song for this audition. If you cannot attend auditions we will provide an alternate audition method.

Cast List: The cast list will be sent in an e-mail to all addresses listed on the registration forms by Monday, February 26th at 5pm.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6:30 February 27th through May 9th, with a break in April. All actors and one guardian will be expected to attend the first rehearsal on Tuesday, February 27th (guardians will only be needed the last half hour- 6:00-6:30). Not all actors will be needed at every rehearsal depending on what portion of the show is being worked on that day. All actors must be available from 4:30-7:30 pm everyday May 13th -16th for dress and technical rehearsals.

Performances: Friday, May 17th @ 7 pm, Saturday, May 18th @ 2 pm, Sunday, May 19th @ 2 pm

Code of Conduct: All actors will be asked to sign a “code of conduct” as a pledge of behaving responsibly, practicing lines, music and choreography at home and to exhibiting a spirit of cooperation and respect for fellow cast members and production staff. We have a zero tolerance policy for physical or verbal bullying. Please help us enforce these important points.

Tuition: A total tuition fee of $175 per actor (Arts Council Members receive a 10% discount, use promo code MEMBER at checkout) is required for participation, $20 of which is due upon registration. The remainder is due by March 21st. This covers most costumes and props, the script and rehearsal materials, a cast t-shirt, the cast party between shows on Saturday, and two tickets to the show. Registration fee and tuition are non-refundable. Scholarships are available for children from households with combined annual incomes under $35,000. Scholarship forms are available on our website or at the box office through the Tom Holder fund.

Materials: Each performer will receive a folder including a script which cast members can keep after the show, a journal, a show t-shirt, and production paperwork. Actors should bring this folder to every rehearsal along with a pencil and bottle of water.

Class Description: This drama class is designed to boost students self-esteem and explore their creativity without the pressure of learning lines. The young actors-to-be will learn basic theatre skills, public speaking skills, short & long term improvisation, and spontaneity through games and exercises. All in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment.

Class Description: This drama class is designed to boost students self-esteem and explore their creativity without the pressure of learning lines. The young actors-to-be will learn basic theatre skills, public speaking skills, short & long term improvisation, and spontaneity through games and exercises. All in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment.

Description: In this week full of theatre fun, campers will produce a play. Students will discover the world of theatre through improvisation games, drama exercises, and technical theatre training. All campers will have a moment to shine! The performance will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 28th.

For Ages: 10 - 13

Description: For two weeks, campers will be immersed in the magic and excitement of live musical theatre as they learn dialogue, music, and choreography for a large-scale musical production. All campers will have a performing role in the show and get hands-on experience while helping to create the scenery, props, and other technical elements used in the show. The big performance will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 19th.

Description: In this week full of theatre fun, campers will produce a play. Students will discover the world of theatre through improvisation games, drama exercises, and technical theatre training. All campers will have a moment to shine! The performance will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 9th.

For Students going into 9th thru 12th grade

Description: In this fast paced program, high school students will rehearse, produce, and perform two vignette plays. Students will have the exciting challenge of quickly learning these plays throughout five days of rehearsals before getting to perform them for family, friends, and community members that weekend!

Performances: Saturday, August 24th @ 2pm and Sunday, August 25th @ 2pm
